COP30 delivered two major outcomes on adaptation: progress on the Global Goal on Adaptation (GGA) framework and a commitment to triple adaptation finance by 2035. Yet major gaps remain between political commitments and finance reaching the communities most exposed to climate risk.

This session brings together leaders from finance, policy, philanthropy and frontline delivery to explore how the GGA framework can drive more targeted, accessible and implementation-ready adaptation finance across health, water, food and agriculture.

The discussion will also examine whether today’s finance architecture – including multilateral funds, blended finance and the growing role of private capital – is truly equipped to reach vulnerable countries and communities at the scale required, or whether the enabling conditions for effective delivery still need to be built.
